Rounding out the position-specific first team were guard Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers, forward Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, center Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic and guard Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Despite averaging a career-low 37.5 minutes, James led the NBA in plus-minus score differential (plus 7.6) and ranked third in scoring (27.1), while pacing the Heat in assists (6.2) and tying for the team lead in rebounding (7.9). In addition, James established career bests in field-goal percentage (.531) and 3-point field goal percentage (.362).

It is the fifth consecutive season James has been named first-team All-NBA and sixth time overall in his nine seasons.

Wade had made first-team All-NBA in 2009 and 2010, before dropping to second-team All-NBA last year, with second-team placings also in 2005 and 2006. The only time he previously had been named third team was in 2007.

Making second-team All-NBA were guards Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs and Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder, forwards Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers and Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and center Andrew Bynum of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Earning third-team All-NBA Third Team were Wade and the Boston Celtics' Rajon Rondo at guard, the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony and the Dallas Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki at forward, and the Knicks' Tyson Chandler at center.

Wade finished with 235 points in the polling, four from tying Westbrook for the final second-team nod at guard.

Heat power forward Chris Bosh finished tied for 35 overall in the voting, with two points, as the only other Heat player to receive votes.
