Entering the 2011-12 season, many people would have pointed out that not much really mattered as it pertained to the Miami Heat, until everyone got to see how LeBron James performed in the postseason.
Well to date, he has exceeded the lofty expectations, and could be a matter of weeks away from claiming that championship that has eluded him his entire career.
LeBronâs numbers have been outstandingâ"averaging 29.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.3 steals, while shooting 50 percent from the floor.
Everyone has wanted LBJ to raise his game in the playoffs and he has done exactly that.
However, looking back at the past four games after falling behind 2-1 in their series against the Indiana Pacers, James has had a much different look and it is one that will carry him to a title.
Since Game 4 against the Pacersâ"when King James turned in a 40 point, 18 rebound and nine assist effort in what was at the time a must-win situation for Miamiâ"LeBron has the look of a player who is finally willing to put the team on his back in order to win a championship.
All he has done since then is average 32.5 points, 11.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists while the Heat have put together a four-game win streak.
Ask yourself one question. If James continues to perform this well, who is going to stop him?
If LeBron continues at this pace, will the Heat win the NBA title?
If LeBron continues at this pace, will the Heat win the NBA title?

Yes

No
Then there is the fact that James and Dwyane Wade are playing their best basketball as a duo during the past four game Miami win streak, averaging a combined 62.8 points per game while shooting 59 percent from the floor.
In addition, Miami has won the four games by a combined 16.5 points per game, meaning that they are getting the job done at both ends of the floor.
If Wade and James continue to click in the fashion that they are, and the Heat keep getting just enough from the rest of their supporting cast, that is very bad news for the rest of the NBA.
Looking at LeBron in particular though, he has had a chip on his shoulder and a killer instinct that we havenât seen for long stretches since he signed with the Heat.
If he is able to keep up his outstanding play and hold onto that mentality, itâs just a matter of time before the inevitable becomes a reality.
With LBJ in takeover mode, it could be just seven more wins and a couple of weeks away before he wins the only thing missing from his impressive resume.
