Kevin Durant and LeBron James are training together for the second consecutive offseason near Akron, Ohio. While the NBA was locked out in 2011, James and Durant played in several exhibition games together, and the pair decided to get together for offseason workouts during that process. They named the series of workouts "hell week", and it included two-a-day workouts. This year's series of workouts is already being called "hell week 2".
James and Durant both had terrific seasons after the lockout ended, and they'd eventually meet in the NBA finals. They'd team up shortly after the finals as the USA won basketball gold in the 2012 London Olympics. After the finals, James commented on the workouts:
We pushed each other every day. At the time, I envisioned us getting to (the Finals) against each other.
Durant had the following to say via his Twitter account Tuesday:
The NBA regular season will begin on Oct. 30, as James and the Heat take on the Boston Celtics. The Thunder will tip off Nov. 1 against the Houston Rockets.
