LeBron James wants to organize a Madden event at Fenway Park after seeing a viral video of someone playing Fortnite on the big screen inside the stadium.

The Los Angeles Lakers star made a plea to "get some Madden games going on there" when he saw the Fortnite video.

James doesn't necessarily have to ask permission to do this since he's part of the Red Sox ownership group.

Granted, James' ownership stake in the Red Sox is fairly low compared to, say, John Henry. A Madden event might need to be cleared with Henry, but that probably wouldn't be a difficult task.

If the Fenway Sports Group is renting out the big screen for Fortnite, they can make time for Madden. This won't even be the only eSports event at Fenway Park this month.

The Red Sox stadium is going to host the first Call of Duty League Major tournament from Jan. 25 through 28. More than 15,000 people are expected to attend the event with a prize pool of $500,000 at stake for the competitors.

Perhaps the biggest obstacle in the way of James trying to schedule a Madden event at Fenway is timing. He can't do it during the NBA season, which runs into April before the playoffs begin.

Trying to schedule it during the MLB season isn't as difficult because the Red Sox do have road trips that take them away from Boston for several days at a time. This could be an idea that comes to fruition if James wants it to happen.
