Entering his 22nd NBA season, LeBron James continues to make headlines with his on-court performance and financial achievements. The Los Angeles Lakers star recently signed a lucrative two-year, $104 million max contract with the team.
But basketball is not the only thing on LeBron's mind. According to his business partner, Maverick Carter, James has set his sights on owning an NBA team once he hangs up his sneakers. During a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Carter shared that the Lakers forward is determined to be an NBA team winner.
"LeBron is dead set on owning an NBA team but he's still playing. I have no idea how much longer he's gonna play."

"I have no idea how much longer he's gonna play. I would've thought he'd be done a few years ago, but he's still letting the young guys know that Grandpa's still balling," he added.
LeBron James and his son, Bronny James, have made NBA history as the first active father-son duo in the league. This milestone was achieved when Bronny was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers, fulfilling a long-held dream of LeBron's.
Both LeBron and Bronny are eagerly anticipating their time on the court together, although they have yet to play as teammates. Before the new season kicks off, LeBron shared his excitement on "The Shop" podcast.

"I'm very excited to get started in training camp. Having your son work with you is the greatest thing," LeBron said.
The Lakers had a challenging season last year, leaving fans hopeful that the addition of Bronny and the dynamic between the father-son pair could turn things around. It will remain to be seen how this historic duo influences the Lakers' quest for a championship.
