In June, the Los Angeles Lakers made history by selecting Bronny James with the No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Of course, there have been several father-son duos in BNA history, but this would be the first time the two play on the court together.

However, a parody Twitter account known as NBACentel has reported that Bronny James will retire alongside his father, LeBron.

If that sounds insane, you wouldn't be surprised to learn that it is also a parody account that has become famous for posting satirical content or fake news.

However, this didn't stop the internet from going crazy over the fake story, even though they knew it wasn't true.

"What a legend was in the league for one year and already broke the record for most points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, and everything else as a father son duo," joked one comment.

"As of today, I would've put Bronny James ahead of Tim Hardaway on the all time list," said another.

"That would be dope frfr. Bronny should be a warzone streamer and he would make millions off his name alone," a third added.

So far, Bronny James has appeared in five preseason games for the Lakers. None have been anything too impressive.

His best performance came against the Phoenix Suns when he dropped four points, two rebounds, and zero assists in 17 minutes.

In every other game, he has scored two or fewer points and has only accumulated three rebounds, one assist, and three blocks.

These numbers make it unlikely that he gets much important playing time when the regular season rolls around.

After a slow start, Heat guard Dwyane Wade finished with 30 points, nine rebounds and six assists of his own. But Sunday afternoon was all about James and his gaudy numbers, virtually all of which we...
