The Los Angeles Lakers have won five of their last seven games, and it is a spurt that was punctuated by their thrilling 115-113 win on Christmas Day over the Golden State Warriors. They will look to continue building positive momentum when they host the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.
Only about a week ago, the Lakers defeated the Kings in Sacramento twice in a span of 48 hours. They also downed the Kings in their second game of this season, which means they will have the opportunity to sweep the Kings in the season series after the Kings did so to them last season.
Unfortunately for Los Angeles, a few of their key players aren't 100%. Anthony Davis injured his ankle on Wednesday versus the Warriors and is listed as questionable. So are LeBron James and Rui Hachimura, who both missed practice on Friday due to illnesses.
Guard D'Angelo Russell, who didn't play versus Golden State because of an injured left thumb, did practice on Friday and is probable for Saturday.
After L.A. hosts Sacramento on Saturday, it will have two more days off before it plays the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have the NBA's best record, on New Year's Eve.
