LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is still going strong in his 22nd NBA season and at age 40, and he continues to have a legion of fans across the land, both young and old. During the Lakers' game on Wednesday versus the Miami Heat at Crypto.com Arena, one of his younger fans got the thrill of her lifetime.
A young girl sitting courtside wearing a white No. 23 James jersey caught an up-close-and-personal look at the future Hall of Famer, and it moved her to tears. After the game ended, James had the presence of mind to go up to her, take a photo with her and even give her a souvenir.
James talked to the media about that encounter and being seen as a role model.
Most importantly, James and the Lakers defeated the Heat, 117-108, on Wednesday to end a three-game losing streak.
