While some things have changed in the NBA, two legends of the game continued to play at a high level despite nearing the end of their playing careers.

Those players are LeBron James of th e Los Angeles Lakers and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors.

Both James and Curry put together another incredible season that saw both players be named to the All-NBA Second Team.

Of course, the Warriors were able to make it to the second round of the playoffs while the Lakers were eliminated in the first round but both were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

With both players still playing at a high level, analyst Nick Wright recently made a clear statement regarding the two players' current rankings and it is clear he believes one is still over the other.

"He (James) just finished sixth in MVP voting, sixth. Firmly Second Team All-NBA. So why all of a sudden is he not one of the 15 best players in the league," Wright asked. "You can fairly argue LeBron to be as high as fifth an d as low as 10. My pall (Bill) Simmons did a top 15 player pyramid and didn't have LeBron on that. He still has Steph Curry as the seventh best guy. There's no way to look at this NBA season & say Steph was better than LeBron, not by (stats, team record, individual accolades, anything).

Wright makes a compelling point for James, who did have a better season than Curry despite being 40 years old.

The future Hall of Fame forward finished sixth in the MVP race and once again led the Lakers to a top four seed in the West, though they were unable to make it out of the first round.

While James did have a better season than Curry, the Warriors did make it farther than the Lakers but there is no doubt that both players are still two of the best in the NBA and they will likely continue to be until they finally decide to call it quits.

After a slow start, Heat guard Dwyane Wade finished with 30 points, nine rebounds and six assists of his own. But Sunday afternoon was all about James and his gaudy numbers, virtually all of which we...

What Happened to the Rivalry Between LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony? - Bleacher Report

They were two young stars with unique and special abilities on the basketball court. They had recently played in a high-attention scholastic contest against each other. They were both selected in the same draft. The LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony rivalry was supposed to be the best individual rivalry since Magic and Bird. But while the relationship between Bird and Johnson is dramatized in a new Broadway play , Anthony and James will meet for the 15th time in their careers and do so without much fanfare. James and Anthony first met in a USA developmental camp in 2001 . Much like how Johnson raved about Bird after they played together on a college All-Star team playing in an international tournament, James couldn’t stop talking about Anthony. The two squared off in a high school showcase game the following year that pitted the player regarded as the best senior in the country (Anthony) against the one that was the best junior in the country (James), a game Anthony’s team wo...
