James entered the league as an 18-year-old basketball phenom in 2003. Since then, he's established himself as one of the greatest players the game has ever seen and one of the sport's brightest minds.
Whenever James does retire, it appears he could remain closely involved in NBA affairs.
James' growing endorsement relationship with Amazon could result in an eventual broadcast partnership with Prime Video's coverage of the NBA, according to a report from Front Office Sports insider Michael McCarthy on Friday.
"Where there's smoke, there's fire between LeBron James and Amazon. The growing business relationship between the basketball superstar and the nation's largest retailer could lead to King James eventually joining Prime Video's upcoming coverage of the NBA, sources tell Front Office Sports," McCarthy reports.
NBA fans took to social media to react to this report regarding James' potential post-retirement plans.

"Would love to see Bron breaking down film, and going over offensive and defensive sets in depth on National TV like the NFL analysts do," another added.
"Is quite literally one of the smartest players ever, would be a great guy to hear talk ball," another said.
James was asked about his possible retirement after the Lakers were eliminated by the Min nesota Timberwolves earlier this year.

"I don't know. I don't have an answer to that," James said. "Something I'll sit down with my family, my wife and my support group and just kind of talk through it and see what happens. Just have a conversation with myself on how long I want to continue to play.
