Scheffler entered the final round four strokes behind Robert MacIntyre at 12-under par. But it didn't take long for him to surge ahead, grabbing the lead and holding it throughout. He carded a 67 on the day, securin g a two-shot victory over MacIntyre and claiming his fifth tournament title of the year.
Scheffler sealed the win in dramatic fashion, chipping in for birdie on the 17th hole as the crowd erupted, effectively putting the championship pretty much out of reach entering the 18th and final hole.

Scheffler's performance and the sheer dominance he's displayed on the PGA Tour drew plenty of reactions — including one from NBA superstar LeBron James, who has recently taken up golf this summer.
"Scheffler so damn COLD out there!!" James posted. "Crazy ZONE he's in currently!"
Scottie Scheffler has separated himself from the rest of the golf world by a wide margin in recent years. After a dominant 2024 campaign where he captured seven tournament victories, it would have been hard to believe he could replicate that level of success in 2025 — yet he's come remarkably close, with the TOUR Championship still ahead next week.

Since the Masters, Scheffler has finished inside the top 10 in every event he's entered, including two major wins at the PGA Championship and The Open Championship. His lowest results this season were ties for eighth at both the RBC Heritage and the Genesis Scottish Open, highlighting his remarkable consistency.

In total, Scheffler now owns 18 PGA Tour victories across 148 career events, and he's made the cut in 129 of those starts. Every time he tees it up, no matter if it fulfills him or not, he's always contending for something meaningful on Sunday.
