The special co-host shared the anchor desk with her father as they answered fan questions. The first one read, "Do you hate LeBron James?"

The ESPN commentator immediately turned his head to the side after Samantha read the question as she took the mic to answer.

"I'm going to get clipped for this," Samantha began predicting that the clip would go viral (and it did).

"I remember Bryce James," Samantha continues, mentioning LeBron's youngest son.

"He's a great a great player and I remember Bronny James too," Samantha added of LeBron's oldest son, who plays alongside him for the Los Angeles Lakers.

"I remember I used to have the biggest crush on Bryce James like a year ago," Samantha says, which immediately got a head turn from Stephen A.

"So it was really awkward between Bryce and I when there was a lot of beef," Samantha jokes, adding that "he doesn't know" who she is.

"That was difficult for me to deal with," Samantha continued as she jokingly got emotional.

"What?" Stephen A. ask s, and Samantha quickly responds, "I'm joking."

The sports commentator wasn't having it and responded to Samantha: "You better be."

Earlier this year, LeBron and Stephen A. Smith had a heated altercation with the Lakers star courtside. It was later revealed that the four-time NBA champion was frustrated with previous comments Stephen A. had made about his son, Bronny James.

Stephen A. followed up saying that if LeBron "had that man put his hands on me, I would have immediately swung on him.'

LeBron later joked that Stephen A. keeps bringing up their disagreement.

"'He is on a Taylor Swift tour run right now," LeBron told Pat McAfee on his show.

Months after the altercation, Stephen A. shared that he does not have a relationship with the Lakers star.

"He doesn't like me, and I don't like him... if I never, ever speak to him again in life, that will be OK. And I'm good with it,' Smith said Friday on the Gil's Arena's podcast. "There's nobody that can mediate."

He continued: "All I would say is people don't know the things that have happened behind the scenes... things that have been said, who they've been said to. The kind of things that have been engaged in in an effort to hurt me, along with contemporaries and others."

Stephen A.  explained that he believes that LeBron misinterpreted what he said in regards to Bronny.

"And the last straw was hi m approaching me and turning the Bronny thing into something about me attacking somebody's family, when it was him I was talking about. Not Bronny," he continued.

LeBron has not reacted to Stephen A. Smith's latest comments.

NBA Monday Morning Shootaround: LeBron James, The Hunger Games, and More - Bleacher Report

Welcome to the "Monday Morning Shootaround," Bleacher Report's recap of the weekend that was in the NBA. Along with getting you caught up on the weekend’s playoff action, we’ll give you a sneak preview of what could potentially be the greatest basketball book of all time, show you the best 70-year-old playground superstar ever, and tell you about a young star that just might choose religion over the fame and fortune of the NBA. The Opening Tip * ABC cameras caught LeBron James reading The Hunger Games before the Miami Heat played the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. Shortly thereafter, the Miami Heat small forward proceeded to go into full Katniss Everdeen mode to the tune of 40 points, 18 rebounds and nine assists as the Heat pulled out a hard-fought 101-93 victory. After a slow start, Heat guard Dwyane Wade finished with 30 points, nine rebounds and six assists of his own. But Sunday afternoon was all about James and his gaudy numbers, virtually all of which we...

Luka Dončić joins LeBron James, Magic Johnson and Jerry West as only Lakers to post 30 points and 15 assists in a game

LeBron James joined a club of one on Tuesday , while Luka Dončić joined a club of four. With 30 points and a Lakers career-high 15 assists, Luka Dončić became only the fourth player in Lakers history to post those totals in a single game in a 136-115 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. The other three: James, Magic Johnson and Jerry West. We'll call that a solid group. That performance included a stretch of three straight 3-pointers to set the tone in the first quarter. It was once again the LeBron and Dončić (LeBrončić?) show, as Dončić's co-star posted 34 points on 10-of-18 shooting, eight rebounds and six assists. Center Jaxson Hayes also had one of the best games of his Lakers career, scoring 19 points on a perfect 8-of-8 shooting plus 10 rebounds. Dončić was two points away from tying his Lakers career high in points as well, and likely would have gotten it had L.A. not taken its foot off the gas in the fourth quarter. After a back-and-forth first half in which the P...
