Lakers' LeBron James Says 'I Don't Have Any Holes In My Game' After Making NBA History

Despite recently celebrating his 41st birthday and in his 23rd NBA season, LeBron James thinks his game is still as strong as it has ever been.

Speaking to reporters after Sunday's 120-114 win over the Memphis Grizzlies (starts at 4:28 mark), James said "I don't have any holes in my game" that has allowed him to help the Lakers be successful this season.

That statement came after James moved into second place on the NBA's all-time assists list when you combine regular season and playoff games, surpassing his Banana Boat partner Chris Paul.

James is the only player in NBA history to ever lead the league in career points and rank at least second in career assists.

James has had to adjust the way that he plays this season because the Lakers have centered their offense around Luka Dončić. His numbers don't stand out in the way they normally do, but within the context of his age, they still look very impressive.

After putting up 26 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds against the Grizzlies, James' season stat line is up to 21.2 points on 51.1 percent shooting, 6.7 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game in 17 starts.

James is being more aggressive in attacking the basket, as his free-throw attempts have gone from 4.7 per game last season to 5.7 so far this season.

There are certainly holes to be poked in James' assessment of his game, particularly when it comes to defense, but for a player at his age to still be as productive as he is shows how unique and special he truly is.

The Lakers are 11-6 in the 17 games that James has played. They are 22-11 overall and sit in third place in the Western Conference going into Tuesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
