LeBron James Was 'Crushed' After Cavs Traded Kyrie Irving in 2017, Ty Lue Says

Cleveland Cavaliers fans might not want to hear what former head coach Tyronn Lue had to say during a conversation with Shannon Sharpe that was released Wednesday. Lue is currently the head coach of the Clippers, but he held the same position for the Cavaliers from the middle of the 2015-16 campaign until he was fired six games into the 2018-19 season. Part of that time overlapped with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving being teammates, but that came to an end when Cleveland traded Irving to the Boston Celtics after the 2017 NBA Finals. Lue said Irving "had made his mind up," he wanted to leave the Cavaliers (1:53:15 mark), but it was his comments about James' reaction that stood out the most. "LeBron was doing an autograph signing with jerseys and stuff for his foundation," Lue said. "So I come sit next to Bron, we're sitting there, hand him the phone, SportsCenter says Kyrie Irving's just been traded to the Boston Celtics. Man, Bron dr...

LeBron James Makes 2025 NFL Predictions for Super Bowl, MVP, Sleeper Team in Video

LeBron James is a Cleveland Browns fan, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that he chose them as his sleeper team for the 2025 season in a video for DraftKings Sportsbook. Predicting a team with Joe Flacco as the starting quarterback—and the most controversial QB3 in the league in Shedeur Sanders—is, uh, quite the choice. James went a bit less rogue with his other predictions for the 2025 season, picking a rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl (he didn't predict a winner) and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson as the MVP. Expectations definitely aren't very high for the Browns heading into the 2025 season. The Athetic's Austin Mock projected them to win 5.4 games, and that was deemed too lofty by his colleague, Zac Jackson, who wrote that "the Browns are going to let Flacco fling it until it's time to pull the plug and play the rookie quarterbacks, and I just don't see enough r...

"If he was sponsored by Samsung, everybody got free Samsung phones" – Ex-Cav reveals how generous LeBron is

Former Cleveland Cavaliers big man Brendan Haywood had a rare opportunity to experience what kind of teammate LeBron James is. Haywood only played one season with the Cavs, but it was enough time for him to develop a deep admiration for James as a teammate. According to Haywood, to say that James is generous felt like an understatement. For him, LBJ was far from what some people think he is. Brendan revealed that for LeBron, everybody in the team is family. Advertisement Haywood also noted that not one member of the team ever felt left out under James' leadership. Bron knew precisel y how to connect to people regardless of their position in the organization and that's what made him remarkable. "LeBron is a great teammate," Haywood told The Ringer in 2018. "He gave the best gifts. Of all the superstars I played with, he gave the best gifts. Anything that he was sponsored by, he would give to his teammates. So, if he was sponsored by Samsung, everybody got ...

"I was seeing those silver bullets dart across my vision" - Ex-Cavs center felt how strong LeBron James was during practice

One of the things that makes LeBron James special is his incredible strength. Even as a teenager, James already possessed the power of a grown man. That's how former Cleveland Cavaliers big man Scott Williams once described it. According to Williams, who played for the Cavs in the 2004-05 season, he experienced how powerful James really is firsthand during practice games. Nicknamed "Tank," Williams was built for some physical basketball throughout his career. Despite being remarkably strong himself, Williams still felt the power of James. Advertisement Still to this day, Scott vividly recalls how he ended up getting wobbled after he and LeBron collided in a play. It has to be taken into account that James was only about 19 years old at the time. "He was always very strong, that's for sure [Laughs] I remember early days in training camp, I prided myself on my defensive play," Williams told HoopsHype in 2020. "I only knew one way to play. I was o...

Dennis Rodman reveals what made Michael Jordan ‘sexy’ vs. ‘dump truck’ LeBron James

The post Dennis Rodman reveals what made Michael Jordan 'sexy' vs. 'dump truck' LeBron James appeared first on ClutchPoints . Easily one of the biggest debates in the NBA is about who is the superior player between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. And while innumerable people have had their say and there are plenty of reasons to go either way, Dennis Rodman is better-placed than most. Advertisement A fellow Chicago Bulls legend alongside Jordan, Rodman was still a pro when James first made his mark in the league, back in 2003. However, he may have found a peculiarly unique way to compare the two superstars. The Worm believes that one of the reasons why Jordan takes the cake is that he looked good while playing. "Michael Jordan was too sexy, man, when he had the ball or something like that. LeBron [James] is like a g*****n f**king dump truck. What the f**k man. Michael Jordan sits there dancing like barista coffee," Rodman explained on the N3ON podca...

Shannon Sharpe and NFL Legend Troll LeBron James’ “Stiff” Golf Swing

A popular pastime for NBA players happens to be the game of golf. Many current and former players have turned to the calm and quiet nature of the sport to give them physical and mental reset. Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is one of the most recent basketballers to step on the green. However, a few NFL legends believe his golf swing needs some work. Golf has become a big part of LeBron James' offseason. Earlier in August, LeBron and his son Bronny went on a retreat together , which included golfing. That wasn't a one-time thing, as he has seemingly fallen in love with the sport. In a recent episode of Nightcap, Shannon Sharpe , Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson and Joe Johnson reacted to a clip of LeBron's swing. None of them are professional golfers by any means, though Shannon and Joe do have some experience on the range. But they didn't have the sweetest compliments for James' form. "Those shoulders are too tight," Sharpe said ...

NBA Quarter Century awards: LeBron James wins MVP and two other honors, surprising pick for top defender

We don't like to admit this, but NBA awards are handed out based off of relatively small samples. Sure, 82 games sound like a lot, but all it takes, especially in the 65-game minimum era, is a sprained ankle or tweaked hamstring to change a vote. Sometimes a player's supporting cast robs him of a trophy. Sometimes a narrative takes hold and overrides common sense. Sometimes a player happens to peak at a weak point in league history. Weird things can happen across six months. But 25 years? That's a more reliable sample. We've now made it through one quarter of the 21st century, so let's hand out some awards based on everything we've seen since Jan. 1, 2000. These awards were voted on by the CBS Sports NBA staff and will cover every major NBA award with one exception. There was simply no clean way to handle Most Improved Player. Therefore, we decided to cut it. NBA All-Quarter Century Teams: LeBron, Kobe, Steph are locks, but center and power f...
